Getting Ahead with The IPC Plumbing Course
The IPC plumbing course and license prep program is designed to help you gain the skills that you need during your apprenticeship to succeed in this field. During your license prep class, you’ll study the Illinois Plumbing Code book, assembly techniques, troubleshooting, and more. Be prepared to work hands on and to study codes and licensing regulations.
Books and Materials for Our Plumbing Course
Special project materials for course activities are provided by IPC. You will also need a copy of the Illinois Plumbing Code book. During the course, you will also be using the following types of materials:
- State-approved draining and vent pipes
- Assembly supplies such as joints, primers, and solvent cements
- Sewer tubing and pipes
- Floor drains, fixture fitting, and suction fittings
- Bathtubs, toilets, and sinks
- Valves and circulating tanks
- Drinking water and waste water lines and pumps
